How can one save money on an everyday item tea?
I don’t know about you but I love my tea. I personally choose to drink Earl grey, orange pekoe and ocationally Ceylon. You may like to drink your own special blend of tea.
No matter your choice of tea, I tend to favour loose tea because it seems to really give you more product for your money. Often teabags of any brand are overpriced in comparison, and are sometimes weaker. However, you could technically use a teabag twice if you take it out of the cup fast enough; which could make an argument for teabag enthusiasts.
I buy Ahmed brand tea, earl grey flavor and use half a teaspoon per cup or even 2 cups. I find that the tea is strong in flavor so you naturally stretch the loose leaf out.
Perhaps one inconvenience is you have to dispose of the leaves into compost, and it’s a messy occurrence. One solution I use is I have a sink strainer which catches the leaves so my sink doesn’t get clogged up. Another thing is that the leaves may float to the top, so some people may not like it but I dispose of it and love it.
